I went to bed around midnight last night, and as I lay down, an "inner voice" told me to "streach my body for all I'm worth." I did so, and lay on my back forcing my arms above my head as far as they would go, also forcing my legs and feet towards the bottom of the bed.

Is history destained to repeat itself over and over? I'm referring to the recent train crash on a level crossing on the Sudbury to Marks Tey line. This is not a busy line, one train an hour, in fact it was fortunate to escape the "Beeching Axe" back in the sixties.

A lovely bright sunny day here today...the 1st day of Spring....so I drove to the smaller of the two Tesco's in the area, and stocked up with their tins of garden peas (14pence a tin), Tartare Sauce (only 34p per jar), Polo Mints, and a couple of other items.

I have finally deceided that it is time for me to depart Newsvine. My other online work and businesses now have to take priority, so it is with a heavy heart and after much deliberation that I have reached this decision to end my Newsvine Column at the end of this month.

Thanks for the invite to add you as a friend. As a rookie to newsvine, I'm more about listening than I am about speaking. As the training wheels come off, I'll be posting more.
Cheers!
Rick
Sandie,
Thank you for the friends invite. I'm new here so it will take me a while to get up to speed with what you have seeded or written. I look forward to getting to know you. I am pretty shy so I don't usually comment, I usually just read what others are saying. I'm working on coming out of my shell.
— psykhe
Hi Sandie. I just wanted to say that I'm glad we are good friends. And I always enjoy your inputs nay matter the topic. Stay safe.

Sandie,
Just a note to mention I appreciated your comments about my mutterings and to tell you that the first newspaper to pick up my column when I was going from paper to paper trying to sell it was in Seward County, Kansas. It was in the incredibly conservative town of Liberal which I think is a delightful irony.
Thanks for being a friend. I enjoy your column. I'm fit into that oxymoronic group of old nubes and would appreciate any hints you have to improve my column.

'It's getting better all the time...'
Sandie's column often reflects the British view on current events. Highly recommended!
Hey Sandie. Thanks for the friend request. :) Hope to see more of you on here. :)
Thanks for adding me to your friends list Sandie. I am looking forward to getting more involved with Newsvine and exploring the community dynamic so it is great to get some positive encouragement from comments and interest so early on. I hope to hear from you some more.

Thanks for your comment and vote =]
It's humbling to know that my random browsing and simple "bookmarking" of interesting news is garnering attention.
I hardly ever have any, much less interesting, comments on the things that I find note-worthy.
But thank you for your advice. Finally getting past the frustrating to the fun =]DM
Hello Sandie, Thank you so much for your kind comment on my comments and feedback column. I am slowly learning and loving the vine.
Carole.

Hi, Sandie. Great to see you out of the Greenhouse. Can't have such talent languishing there. :o)
A little tip for your articles. Whenever you post anything, always write even one line of comment with it. It is comments which draw attention to your site, so start the ball rolling with that. If you're not sure of what to say with it, just copy a quote from it and put in the first comment box. That should attract your friends to the seed or article.
Looking forward to reading your postings.
